A five owner automatic ten year old German sports car.

I’m not saying it’s CP, but I’m not saying I’d pay anything close to that price.

I know it’s not all about the power but still-245 hp with 201 lb-ft of torque is kinda low although 0-60 in 6.7 Sec is not THAT bad. Also no PDK older 5 pseed triptronic. Having said all that, If I had a choice between a Miata BRZ Ecoboost Mustang and this for the same price, I’d go this any day (assuming it’s in very good condition with all maintenance done) .

Can’t comment on the price per se becuase I don’t know about used Porsches’ pricing, just taking the car and it’s price at face value.

Depending on when it was made in 2008 , IMS bearing so CP

CP.

I test drove an 06 Cayman S with a 6 speed and it was listed for $26k with 42k miles. In Detroit. Where , imo prices  are usually 10 15% more than even IL let alone the southern states.

5 owners, no service history, possible IMS, PDK, sitting at a non-Porsche dealer, overdue for major maintenance.

Crack house .

edit: may be an M/T, VINanalytics is dead again, STILL crack house. Seriously. But sequential says it’s an IMS motor for sure.

Tip, PDK, they’re both the bad one.

Everyone seems to think CP in the comments here, and I basically agree. S ince I’ve been browsing these a lot, I will say that this seems a bit high price for a base model, but it isn’t uncommon pricing. Dealer has only standard copy, so no indication of IMS resolution, and no interior pictures and only a basic options listing, so there may be options that  add to the price, but it isn’t an S, and this is closer to pricing for an S of that year and mileage.

I don’t think that it is correct pricing, though, or else I might own an S by now.

I’ve been seeing a number of older Caymans around that price, and damn if it isn’t tempting. But, maintenance, and maintenance records, are seriously the key. That purchase price can easily wind up merely the downpayment for keeping one on the road.

Tip is a awful.  But after driving a few PDK Porsches I don’t hate on anyone for getting it.
